This was a good performance by a combined team of U14B and U12A players. Wilmslow had a couple of good strong players who we struggled to contain, which resulted in them scoring 9 of the 12 goals. Give us a rematch next week and I am sure we would manage to contain them better.
The closest we got was 3-3 midway through the second quarter; after this we fell away and struggled to put consistent pressure on our opponents.
MVP by a long way was Matthew Stewart, who drew admiring comments from all 3 of the Wilmslow coaches at the end of the game, for a string of good saves throughout the match.
